Reliance Jio's Swift 5G Expansion: Nationwide Coverage Expected by December, Confirms Mukesh Ambani
Reliance AGM 2023 Unveils JioAirFiber Launch Date - September 19
At the 46th Reliance Industries Annual General Meeting, Chairman Mukesh Ambani provided significant information regarding Reliance Jio's 5G services. He stated that these services, marked by an exceptional rollout speed, are firmly on track to cover the entire nation with an ultra-high-speed network by December of this year. Additionally, Mukesh Ambani revealed that JioAirFiber is set to debut on Ganesh Chaturthi, scheduled for September 19.
The Jio customer base has now surpassed an impressive 450 million subscribers, showcasing a remarkable year-on-year revenue growth exceeding 20 percent.
Additionally, Jio's 5G network has already reached a significant number of towns, and the business is diligently working to provide nationwide coverage by December.
Mukesh Ambani underscored this milestone, affirming, "Jio's overall customer base has now crossed the significant threshold of 450 million subscribers, reflecting a year-on-year revenue growth of over 20 percent."
It's worth noting that data consumption per user on the Jio network has seen a significant increase, with the average user now consuming over 25 GB every month.
As he stopped to ponder Jio's groundbreaking process since its send-off quite a while back with the vision to make India a Chief Computerized Society, Ambani communicated pride, saying, "We have put our entire being into building an Advanced Public Foundation that the whole world has started to respect." Ambani claims that Jio is what began India's gigantic computerized insurgency.
Further, he alluded to targets that stretch out past India's lines.
Ambani introduced Jio True 5G, their pioneering 5G broadband offering, noting, "Our 5G rollout commenced last October, and in just nine months, Jio 5G has already covered over 96 percent of the census towns in our country."
The company is resolutely on track to achieve nationwide 5G coverage by the close of this year. Impressively, with a user base of over 50 million 5G customers, Jio is at the forefront of 5G adoption in India, as confirmed by Ambani.
Additionally, Ambani highlighted a distinctive capability of Jio: the ability to transition its entire 4G customer base to 5G seamlessly, with minimal additional capital expenditure. He further shared that as Jio 5G gains popularity, they are observing a growing trend of high-ARPU, post-paid customers choosing Jio as their preferred network
