A topic is very popular on the internet that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will replace humans and many people will lose their jobs, is it true? Let’s talk about that.

I agree that AI (artificial intelligence) is powerful but is it really superior than humans ?

AI has been a subject of interest since 1950s and it was a vision for making machines which can do human tasks and work on electricity. The field of AI got a boost of demand after the COVID-19 pandemic as it was needed in doing jobs but due to the lack of technology it was tough.

After all AI has been developed by humans itself and has been embedded with information but it can’t think like humans do. Robots can follow specific instruction which they are capable of and can’t do anything else like if it have information of how to cook then they can’t perform the task of cleaning or any other thing and computerized AI can do computerized works but not any physical work.

Then why are AI preferred over humans?

The answer is the efficiency and speed of doing the task. In comparison, where humans takes hours to do something at that place an AI takes minutes or seconds to do the same and chances of errors are low as AI follows complex algorithms which makes it fast. Due to this companies fired many of their employees and started using AI tools to do tasks due to this they have to pay less and get more productivity and work fast in less time which can be good for company.

But if we see a new company which can’t afford to hire people for them AI is a best alternative of people and can help to grow the company.

Is AI really taking over people jobs?

At the current time the answer is yes but not for long. Due to the AI tools like Chat-GPT there has is a new type of engineering formed which is Prompt Engineering in this people are taught how to use AI tools and write proper prompt to make an AI work for them. On an average a prompt engineer can earn a package of 1 crore per annum. As this is new a very few people know about it and is slowly getting in demand and is not started in colleges till now.

On the other hand according to linkedin, a very reputed company, the 85% of jobs which will exist in 2030 are not invented yet. So there are still so many things to discover which are not till now and I can finally say that we just have to wait and soon it will be ok for everyone and some jobs can pay beyond our imaginations.

Soon AI will be the most demanded field so we should be ready for future.

At the end I want to say that an AI can never replace humans but a person using AI will replace other humans.
