Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami has emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the ICC World Cup 2023, contributing significantly to India's flawless winning streak. Shami's outstanding performance, with 23 wickets in just six matches, has garnered global acclaim, but his personal life is under scrutiny.

Hailing from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, Shami is married to Hasin Jahan, and the couple has a child named Aaira Shami. Regardless of Shami's expert achievement, his own life has taken a wild turn, with Jahan blaming him for aggressive behavior at home and alluding to his contribution in match-fixing.

The love story between Shami and Jahan began in 2012 during the IPL, where Jahan worked as a cheerleader for the Kolkata Knight Riders, the team Shami played for at the time. After dating for a while, the couple tied the knot on June 6, 2014. Following their marriage, Jahan reportedly left her job as a cheerleader and also quit modeling. Their daughter, Aaira Shami, was born in 2015.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) investigated the match-fixing allegations through its anti-corruption unit, ultimately reinstating Shami's national contract on March 22 and clearing him of corruption charges.
