When we talk about our twenty first century there are hundreds of things we can think of but one of the most popular things we can imagine of is talking computers or Artificial Intelligence.

WHAT IS NLP?

NLP stands for Natural Language Processing which is a branch of computer sciences which deals with the study and coding of software or Artificial Intelligence in such a way that it can recognize the speech and text without any difficulty and reply back in the same format.

It consists of really complex codes so that it can understand in an efficient way.

HOW WAS NLP STARTED?

The history of NLP takes us back to 1960s, when Joseph Weizenbaum developed his program based on communication between human and computer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It was named Eliza and was made between 1964 and 1966. It was able to give simple and rule based answers to the questions asked and was one of the first artificial intelligence ever created.

But it was based on a set of rules and pattern which was predefined and wasn’t able to think and answer a question by itself.

HOW NLP BECAME SUCCESSFUL?

NLP became successful because it lead in various advancements in the field of computer sciences. Popularly in the field of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

As the demand in the field of Artificial Intelligence increases day by day the demand of NLP engineers is also increasing. An NLP engineer is a person who teach an Artificial Intelligence how to understand any language using complex algorithms which are embedded inside the source code of that Artificial Intelligence.

It is widely used in fields like:

1. Machine language
2. Text recognition 
3. Speech recognition
4. Biometric locks
5. Language translation
6. Chat bots or visual assistance
7. Text recognition

WHAT IS THE SCOPE IN THIS FIELD?

The NLP engineering have a high scope and is highly used for designing artificial Intelligence. The field of NLP is one of the most well known fields of the world and mostly contains of algorithms which makes it a little bit tough and will become easy after a few years of training.

On the other hand in the upcoming years it will grow exponentially and will require a lot of human work and will get a high demand in the society. So we should follow the path of NLP and start our journey with the teaching of Artificial Intelligence.
