Sri Lanka lost the match in Asia Cup when Sadeera Samarawickrama was out on the 68th run.

At 4/68, Sri Lanka would have needed an incredible partnership to win against India.

However, Dhananjay de Silva and Dunith Wellalage were doing a good job of handling the situation.

They shared a crucial partnership of 63 runs off 75 balls. In such a situation, the match could have been won by just playing it safe and scoring singles.

He single-handedly destroyed the Indian top order with the ball.

After dismissing big-hitters like Rohit, Gill, Virat, Pandya, and Rahul, Wellalage scored an unbeaten 42 runs with the bat, keeping one end up in the Lankans' comings and goings to the Pavilion.

Wellalage also missed out on the double of scoring 50+ runs and taking 5 wickets in a match, which would have been a first for a Sri Lankan.
