On the second day of the special session of Parliament, Prime Minister Modi addressed both the Houses of Parliament in the Central Hall on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Modi began his address with greetings on Ganesh Chaturthi.

Prime Minister Modi said that today we are not only going to enter the new Parliament building of Parliament, but we are also going to inaugurate our new future.
The Prime Minister said that we are going to enter the new building with a renewed commitment to developed India and with the intention of fulfilling it.
He said that this building and this Central Hall is filled with our emotions and is also making us emotional.
He said that it inspires us towards our duty.
In 1947, the British government handed over power to India here and this Central Hall is a witness to it.
He also said that the tricolor and the national anthem were also adopted here.
The Prime Minister said that the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha together passed more than 4,000 laws.
Joint sessions were also called for this if necessary.
Several bills, including the law to fight terrorism, the Banking Service Commission Bill, and the Dowry Prohibition Act, were passed through the joint session.
Muslim sisters and daughters were freed from triple talaq by making a law here.
The mistake that was made due to Shahbano case was also corrected by this House.
He further said that Article 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir from this House and Jammu and Kashmir is now moving towards peace and development rapidly.
Prime Minister Modi further said that India is filled with new energy today.
If you look at the sequence of events one by one, every event is a witness to the fact that India has woken up with a new consciousness today.
The Prime Minister said that this consciousness and energy can turn the dreams of crores of people into resolve.
Prime Minister Modi further said that India needs to work on a large canvas in the 25 years of Amrit Kaal.
The time for getting entangled in small issues is now over for us.
We have to first fulfill the goal of making India self-reliant.
This is the demand of the time and it is also our duty.
Parties should not come in the way of achieving this goal. Only heart is needed for the country.
Along with this, in his address from the Central Hall, the Prime Minister said that India is the fifth largest economy in the world today and we are moving towards the top three with a new resolve.
The world is confident that India will remain among the top 3 economies.
He further said that the world is looking at India today.
The world is looking for its friend in India today and India is moving forward as a world friend.
Prime Minister Modi proposed that the old Parliament be called the ‘Constitution Hall’.
He said that the new Parliament building is a witness to India’s history and progress.
He called on Parliamentarians to work together to make India a developed and self-reliant nation.
