This happened 12 years ago, we joined a company and after a few days we became a manager in a branch of that company, it was our first job, we were enthusiastic, we worked hard and we got it, meanwhile we got transferred to another branch. This happened which is normal, after a year we got a mail from the head office asking us to shift the office to the best location in the city, so we got it done, all these things are on record, but the story starts now, which office we shifted. Got it done. There was a BSNL company's landline telephone installed inside it, now when there was a shift, the connection got disconnected and an application was given to start the same number at another place, in the same application an alternate number was also asked, so we got a new job. When I became a manager from above, I gave my personal number to Josh which we still have, in December 2014 we were again transferred somewhere else and in 2015 we left the company.

In May 2016, we came to know that the company was closed. There were about 400 branch offices in the company, all of them were closed, in 2019 we got a call that we were speaking from BSNL and a number was running in your name whose bill was Rs 2000. The rest, I explained to them that I was an employee at that, the number was active before I joined the company and I had left the company in 2015 but the company was closed in 2016, this number was in the name of the company, my number was only. It was taken as per alternate number, he said that it is ok, the matter is closed.
But exactly after 2 years in December 2021, a notice reached our house that this was your number, either pay the bill or come to the court, this time we reached BSNL office and told everything there, with proof, transfer letter, resignation letter, NOC, and an application along with it was given in BSNL office, they said that it was the company's number, it has nothing to do with you, the matter is closed.

But today, exactly after 26 months, a message comes that this was your number, its bill is pending, either pay it or reach the court on 9th March, we still had the number of an old government employee saved, for whom we had applied earlier. Had come, as soon as I called him he asked me when I applied, can I show any receipt?

Now you will learn two things from here,
1. Never give your number to any company, office or any work that is not yours.
2 . Generally, 99% people do not take receipt of application copy after giving it in any government department, but from today onwards all of you can add it to every government office like LIC, electricity department, bank, and now BSNL too. Even if you give an application, make sure to take receipt of it, otherwise you will have to pay the fine even if it is not your fault.
