The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2023. Candidates can check their results on ctet.nic.in. Here are the key highlights:
Paper-1 Statistics:
• Total Registrations: 1,501,474
• Candidates who appeared for the exam: 1,213,704
• Candidates who passed: 298,758
Paper-2 Statistics:
• Total Registrations: 1,402,022
• Candidates who appeared for the exam: 1,166,175
• Candidates who passed: 101,057
It's worth noting that a staggering 2.9 million students registered for CTET. This included 1.5 million for Paper-1 and 1.4 million for Paper-2. The provisional answer keys were released on September 16, 2023.
The mark sheets and eligibility certificates for CTET August 2023 will soon be uploaded on DigiLocker. Candidates can download them using the mobile number provided in their online application.
Lifetime Validity of CTET Certificate: A significant development is that the CTET certificate is now valid for a lifetime, providing a substantial boost to the teaching profession.
Minimum Passing Marks:
• General Category: A minimum of 90 out of 150 marks is required.
• SC, ST Categories: A minimum of 82 out of 150 marks is required.
Digital Certification Process: Following the CBSE board result announcement, the CTET mark sheets and certificates for successful candidates will be digitally uploaded to their DigiLocker accounts. These documents will bear digital signatures, ensuring legal validity. Additionally, an encrypted QR code will be embedded in the mark sheet and certificate, which can be verified using the DigiLocker mobile app for added security.
No Re-evaluation Process: It's important to note that the CBSE board will not conduct any re-evaluation for CTET under any circumstances. Applications for re-evaluation will not be accepted.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: To pass the CTET exam, candidates must attain a minimum qualifying score. For General category students, a minimum of 60% is mandatory. For OBC, SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates, the minimum qualifying marks are set at 55%.
This year's CTET results have ushered in significant changes, providing a streamlined and digital approach to certification. The lifetime validity of the CTET certificate is a welcome move that recognizes the continuous dedication and expertise of educators in the Indian educational system.
