 Pragyananda is only 18 years old.  Pragyananda was born in Maliyaduthurain Tamil Nadu (10 August 2005) in Chennai, India.  He got involved in chess at the age of three.  Pragyananda's father Ramesh Babu works in a bank.  Despite suffering from polio, he did not lose courage and nurtured the children well.  Before Pragyananda, let's talk about Anand Vishwanath who also won the book of Grandmaster in 1988.  Vishwanath Anand's full name is Anand Vishwanath.  He is a resident of Maliyaduthurai, Tamil Nadu, India.  Anand defeated Aleksey Shirov in a 6-game match to win the 2000 FIDE World Chess Championship, a title he held until 2002.  He became the undisputed world champion in 2007 and defended his book against Vladimir Kramnik in 2008, Veselin Topalov in 2010 and Boris Gelfand in 2012 (6) In 2013 he lost the book to challenger Magnus Carlsen, and in 2014 at the Candidates Tournament  Lost rematch to Carlsen in 2014 after winning (7)

Baku: India's young Grandmaster R Praggnanandh achieved a historic victory.  He entered the final of the prestigious FIDE Chess World Cup and scripted a new history.  Pragya Nanda is continuously improving her performance and moving ahead by defeating the strong contenders for the title.  Praggnanandh pulled off a sensational 3.5-2.5 win over world No. 3 Fabiano Karuna in the semifinals, which was interesting throughout.  With the two classic games being drawn 1-1 between the two, a tiebreak was mandatory to decide the winner.

 The young GM was completely successful in overpowering Fabiano, who was ranked higher than him.  He defeated the American GM by climbing to such a height that he did not give him a chance to recover at any stage.  Amitumi will decide the title against world number one Magnus Carlsen, who has already reached the final.  Fabiano and Avasov will fight for the second and third places.  It is known that Pragyananda has qualified for the next year's Candidates tournament by being in the top-3 in the megatournament.  Meanwhile, chess legend Viswanathan Anand took to Twitter to specially congratulate Pragyananda on reaching the final of the megatournament
