The World Cup is just a day away. In the 46-day long Mahakumbh of Cricket, 150 players from 10 teams will travel through 10 cities and make every possible effort to make their team win the title of World Champion. Each team will take the field with its squad of 15 players. The history of the World Cup will also make its presence felt along with them.

The competition had to be stopped in 1975 due to protests.
The first World Cup was played in England in 1975. In this, a cricket match was stopped due to political protesters. The seventh match of the World Cup was played against Australia and Sri Lanka on 11 June at the Oval. In this, Tamil people living in Sri Lanka came on the field and demonstrated during the match. During Australia's innings, people sat on the pitch carrying posters and banners. However, after some time the security guards took him out of the field and the match started again. Australia won this match by 52 runs.
